Produce static or dynamic shapes.
Hold everything rigidly or flexibly in place as desired.
Framework/chassis should maintain its shape under load.
Joints should only bend/move when desired.
Chassis and effector structural goals
Chassis / Frame
Should be strong and stiff.
Has to carry the whole robot, plus any desired load.
Might be heavy.
Effector / Arm
Has to carry its own weight, plus the weight of its load.
Should be light and stiff (no bending under load).
Might be fragile.
Watch out for torsional stiffness (no twisting under load).
Watch out for off-center loads.
